Bacula has tracing facilities that might let you figure out why it's
selecting these files for backup.

Maybe someone who's done a bit more with the guts of bacula can advise
you on a good way to trace this and find out more. Then turn on tracing
using the "setDebug" command in the console, run your differential, and
start wading though the (huge) amount of output.
