It's not that there's a problem with using the default values it's just 
that some of they aren't optimized for cutting edge hardware.  Read the 
description of the values and it's spelled out pretty well.  In addition if 
you google Maximum File Size LTO-4 bacula you'll come up with this 
explanation too

Also, you probably should experiment with minimum and maximum block size. 
I would definitely recommend doing some repeatable tests with this kind of 
tuning parameters as the optimum values may depend heavily on your 
director's CPU and other hardware.
