In the past I have found this to be very important if you put your
catalog on a volume with more than 1 job on that volume.

When I had a database corruption problem (bad hardware) it was more
difficult to recover my catalog backup because the catalog I wanted
was on two volumes and there were multiple catalog dumps (same file
name) stored on both volumes. I eventually got the file I wanted but
it would have been a lot simpler if I had a bootstrap file..
