Hi

I'm having problem with configuring bacula properly. We have one director,
three storages and lot of clients. Clients are in different networks, so we
need to use different IP to connect from client to storage and different IP
to connect from director to storage. I know that there is a way of using
hosts file entries which will be different on clients and director, and then
using that hostname in bacula storage definition. But we decided that is not
efficient, so there is bind with different views so it gives proper IP for
client. It works from client when I'm pinging or digging for name, it works
when I'm trying to run job manually, but automated jobs are often failing
with errors like below :

Log records for job 11236
2008-12-11 02:27:28 cab1 JobId 11236: Start Backup JobId 11236,
Job=client1.2008-12-11_01.35.23
2008-12-11 02:28:00 cab1 JobId 11236: Error: bsock.c:182 gethostbyname() for
host "storage1.backup.com" failed: ERR=Authoritative answer for host not
found.
2008-12-11 02:28:23 cab1 JobId 11236: Error: Bacula cab1 2.2.8 (26Jan08):
11-Dec-2008 02:28:23

Any ideas what can cause this ?? It looks like our bind is not responding at
that time, but there is nothing restarting or so. Only issue could be that
bind server is bacula storage and director, so it may be under load at night.
Is that possible, I mean can it be bind not responding to clients because
storage traffic is hammering server ?? If so, is there any parameter to give
to bacula to make it wait longer for answer from DNS ??
