snapshots.

Make sure your installation recides on an lvm volume that has sufficient
space for doing a snapshot. Then do the snapshot in a RunBefore and 
remove it in a RunAfter.

This should provide you with "no" downtime. The state of a restore of 
your installation whould be excactly like if you had booted your system 
after a hard power-down.

Of course, make sure to actually test that it works for you :-)
