At first, I guess you are using the term "purge" here against Bacula
conventions, my guess is you merely mean "prune". It may cause confusion.
What comes into volume etc settings, they won't get into effect with
existing volumes etc automatically.
After changing director conf file, you need either to restart director, or
issue reload command to actualize the changes.
Then, if you have changed pool settings, you'll need "update pool" command.
Finally, to make existing volumes to follow the changes, you'll need to
update the volumes too. Otherwise the changes only apply to volumes you
create after the changes.
You may use "llist pools" or "llist media" commands before and after the
changes to study things in more detail. This could help you getting the idea
how changes get into effect.
