I would have to locally have a disk equal to the size of my total backup
pool.
For example the backup of 1T of data in multiple generations will
generate way more then 1T in backup files.
Granted that it can be discussed what should be included, how many
generations(aiming for my current 1 year) etc but one of my goals is to
be able to back up more then I currently do. A quick check of my current
backup pool shows that I'm using almost 4T of tape storage

root@tpol:~# echo list media|/etc/bacula/bconsole|grep Full|tr -d ','|
awk -F\| '{sum+=$6};END {print "sum=",sum," or ",sum/1024/1024/1024,"
GB"}'
sum= 3987743542272  or  3713.88  GB

not as paranoid as me. I have data on mirrored disks, multiple places
and just need the offsite storage part covered.

Now when I found this "disk-changer" keyword I found a 313 hits in the
bacula-users archive and it seems like I'm not alone in doing this.
