Can the client machines access your storage machine directly?
Although backup is initiated by the director the client starts its own
communication with the storage.

This should not be a problem.

For this you will need multiple storage devices.

Ok. Do I actually need to run multiple daemons or just configure somehow for
that storage to have several devices?
It would be great to assign each pool its own device.

If you want recycling to work you will need more than 1 volume in each
pool. The reason is bacula will recycle an entire volume at once so at
that point you will have no backups left for a client. I recommend
never getting into this situation and to always have at least 1 full
backup for each client.

I do a weekly full backup and a daily incremental.
