Although backup is initiated by the director the client starts its own
communication with the storage.

If you want recycling to work you will need more than 1 volume in each
pool. The reason is bacula will recycle an entire volume at once so at
that point you will have no backups left for a client. I recommend
never getting into this situation and to always have at least 1 full
backup for each client.
