rpm --nodeps  :-))

Yes, that's correct, if I didn't mix the case with another one in my head... 
there is an unnecessary dependency in the spec file for Fedora 9, I think 
the contents are now included in ncurses rpm. You may look earlier posts 
about this topic around 3rd of August.
