Looks like it thinks friday2 was used, and wants friday3... is there any
way to make it use friday2? if i purged it or?

This is the message I am getting:

09-Aug 02:49 bacula-sd: Please mount Volume "friday3" on Storage Device
"LTO-3" (/dev/nst0) for Job server01.2008-08-08_23.00.01

----
It doesn't want to use friday2 because it is marked 'Used' which means
that it hit the limit of jobs and won't use it again until all other
media is 'Used' and it becomes the oldest and the recycle period is
reached.

If you want to use friday2 again, you can 'update' the volume and
'purge' it but that would delete all of the previous jobs on the tape.

If you want to continue using that volume while keeping the jobs on that
tape, I think you will need to:

- Up the 'Maximum Volume Jobs' number on the pool
- restart the storage daemon
- 'update' the tape for the number of jobs
- 'update' the tape and change the status from 'Used' to 'Append'

----
Looking at this, I think you also need to restart the bacula-dir daemon
too

Craig

Ok but how will i get bacula to want to use the friday2 tape? if i restart the daemon i think it will "forget" about the job tbh.

Am i doing this the wrong way adding all the friday tapes to the same pool? should i create  a different pool for each friday job?

Cheers
Keith
