I missed that sorry. You are doing this for performance reasons?

I believe this would require a lot of changes in the code especially
if we are going to allow sending jobs to the changer device and
letting it pick a drive and storage daemon to use.
You could submit this as a feature request however I suspect this will
be a low priority item.
