I changed the MediaType for the Volume's record in the Media table :
update Media set MediaType = "DudleyLTO2" where VolumeName = "SE2643";

Good news is the restore worked - Bootstrap file looked OK, tape header
obviously still has the old MediaType.
Bad news is I had to restart Bacula after the SQL change, probably an
indication that that was a big no-no.

I think it should be possible to do this - maybe an enhancement request?

Next task is to find out why I can't restore on the original site, but
at least my backups appear to be OK. Probably a new post will appear on
the list next week...

thanks, Phil

To restore from a volume your media type of the storage daemon must
not change when you moved its location.
