Erk...

If you can shut the database down and dump it to filesystem at a preset
time in the middle of the night then the actual backup can take place at
any time after that.

The problem with backing up/restoring actual DB images is that while it
_usually_ works if the DB was shut down, there are odd edge cases where it
doesn't (not to mention that a DB dump is fairly portable).

Windows does have a rudimentary cron system which is usable for this kind
of activity.
