Leave it to mtx to interface to the auto-changer. At my place we are using the slightly smaller TS3100 with 48 slots for the last 6 months without a single glitch. Just make sure to go through all necessary tests e.g. btape, mtx, multiple backups, restores to iron out the kinks before going production.

Anyone here have any experience using Bacula with it? Especially in
configuring Bacula to control the robotic arm.

mtx-changer script can control autoloaders. By autoloader, does it mean
the robotic arm?
My humble apologies if this has already been covered in some FAQs. And
if it is, can someone point me to it.
