After much detective work, I see I should upgrade Quantum driver 
firmware. From Quantum web site:

V94 (for standalone drives only)
    V94 update is recommended for improved compatibility with
    Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Operating Systems (OS), as
    well as overall product reliability improvement.

So, I'll give this a try and report tomorrow on my success (or failure).
