Since a lot of months one of my concurrently backups runs fine, but over the
last three days I got the following backup error twice.

10-Jun 23:54 myserver-dir: Start Backup JobId 39986,
Job=homes_mathphys_Backup.2008-06-10_22.10.05
...
11-Jun 00:35 myserver-fd: homes_mathphys_Backup.2008-06-10_22.10.05 Fatal
error: Authorization key rejected by Storage daemon.
Please see http://www.bacula.org/rel-manual/faq.html#AuthorizationErrors for
help.
11-Jun 00:35 myserver-fd: homes_mathphys_Backup.2008-06-10_22.10.05 Fatal
error: Failed to authenticate Storage daemon.
11-Jun 00:35 myserver-dir: homes_mathphys_Backup.2008-06-10_22.10.05 Fatal
error: Socket error on Storage command: ERR=No data available
11-Jun 00:35 myserver-dir: homes_mathphys_Backup.2008-06-10_22.10.05 Error:
Bacula 1.38.11 (28Jun06): 11-Jun-2008 00:35:12

I wonder why this happens because one time after the first failed backup the
next one runs fine but last night it crashes again. Is this really an
authorization error or could it be a problem of concurrent jobs?

I read about the authorization errors in the manual and found a hint about
the maximum concurrent jobs settings in director, storage- and file-daemon.
I check my settings and found:

bacula-dir.conf sets
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 5
for myserver-dir

homes_mathphys.conf included to bacula-dir.conf sets
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 1
for a Storage Resource "homes_mathphys Storage" for device "homes_mathphys
FileStorage" at Storage Daemon at myserver.

bacula-sd.conf sets
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 30
for the corresponding storage Daemon

And finally bacula-fd.conf sets
  Maximum Concurrent Jobs = 20
for the bacula-fd on myserver.

I have defined 25 backup jobs started in parallel every night for 25
different storage devices on the same storage daemon. All backup jobs run
since beginning using bacula - there are no new jobs. But could there be a
problem in my settings? For a long time all things work without any error -
I never got authorization errors before. And it was every time the same
backup producing the error in the last three days.
Any idea whats wrong or what I could do now?
Thanks a lot,
Annette
