Here is part of my bacula-sd.conf, if anyone can see a problem?

#
# An autochanger device with one drives
#
Autochanger {
  Name = Autochanger
  Device = TapeDevice-1
  Changer Command = "/etc/bacula/mtx-changer %c %o %S %a %d"
  Changer Device = /dev/changer
}

Device {
  Name = TapeDevice-1
  Drive Index = 0
  Media Type = LTO-G2
  Archive Device = /dev/nst0
  AutomaticMount = yes;               # when device opened, read it
  AlwaysOpen = yes;
  RemovableMedia = yes;
  RandomAccess = no;
  AutoChanger = yes
  # Enable the Alert command only if you have the mtx package loaded
  Alert Command = "sh -c 'tapeinfo -f %c |grep TapeAlert|cat'"
}

How do I change this?

I suspect that  /etc/bacula/mtx-changer  dosn't work becuase the default "changer-device" in bacula seems to be  /dev/sg0 , but mine is  /dev/sg3 .

[root@origo3 ~]# /etc/bacula/mtx-changer /dev/sg3 list 0 /dev/nst0 0

5:TYV240L2

6:TYV247L2

9:TYV236L2

12:TYV246L2

22:TYV238L2

Still not sure if its permissions or not.

It dosn't like  "Sense Key"

[root@server ~]# /etc/bacula/mtx-changer /dev/sg0 load 11 /dev/nst0 0

mtx: Request Sense: Long Report=yes

mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=no

mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=70 (Current)

mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=Illegal Request

mtx: Request Sense: FileMark=no

mtx: Request Sense: EOM=no

mtx: Request Sense: ILI=no

mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Code = 20

mtx: Request Sense: Additional Sense Qualifier = 00

mtx: Request Sense: BPV=no

mtx: Request Sense: Error in CDB=no

mtx: Request Sense: SKSV=no

READ ELEMENT STATUS Command Failed

[root@server ~]# su bacula

bash-3.00$ /etc/bacula/mtx-changer /dev/sg0 load 11 /dev/nst0 0

cannot open SCSI device '/dev/sg0' - Permission denied

[root@server ~]#
ll /dev/sg0 crw-rw---- 1 root root 21, 0 11 jan 2007 /dev/sg0

I would start by trying to run mtx-changer from the shell and see what
errors are posted when running that. You may first want to run this as
root and later run it as whatever user that the bacula-sd process runs
under.
