It looks like your perl installation is broken somehow. Perhaps this thread is helpful?

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/BackupPC/bin/BackupPC line 53.

The file BackupPC has not be changed in last 2 months according to git.

Searching inet showed I should install libswitch-perl - did not help as I already assumed.

Any hint is very welcome!
