Hey there,

can anyone assist me on my problem, where I’ve got working installation of 3.2.1 on Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS X64, and I would want to upgrade to 4.0.0?

If I upgrade to 3.2.2, all I have to do is change the ”$useFHS=0” to ”$useFHS=1” in Lib.pm file, and the uprgade works perfectly. But upgrading from 3.2.1 to 4.0.0, that isn’t the case. The service won’t start, and  ”systemctl status backuppc.service” says:

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: Stopped LSB: Launch backuppc server.

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: Starting LSB: Launch backuppc server...

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc backuppc[1948]:  * Starting backuppc...

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc backuppc[1948]: BackupPC cannot be started because important parameters are missing from config.pl.

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc backuppc[1948]: If you just upgraded BackupPC, please update /etc/backuppc/config.pl.

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: backuppc.service: Control process exited, code=exited status=1

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: Failed to start LSB: Launch backuppc server.

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: backuppc.service: Unit entered failed state.

Mar 10 08:47:07 backuppc systemd[1]: backuppc.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

I can’t find anything wrong with the config.pl -file.

Any help?
