Hi Tim,

I got a little bit confused right now since I am new to this environment.  Alex was saying that BackupPC is running but how can I show the status like this one?

Thanks,

Charles

I'm not saying it's impossible to have BackupPC and Apache on different hosts (I've never tried), but I *can* saying that anyone capable of doing it is capable of interpreting Apache logs.

Conversely, someone who is *NOT* capable of interpreting Apache logs is *NOT* capable of doing so.

Therefore:  don't try.

Or, don't try yet:  get it running the *SIMPLE* way first.

There are step-by-step walkthroughs for making BackupPC work.  Follow them.  Make it work the SIMPLE way first.  *THEN* decide to make small changes, one at a time, until it works better for you.

But don't try to jump to the end of a very difficult configuration (that very well *might* be impossible!) and then stumble around when it doesn't work.
