If you don't mind modifying your iinstallation files directly, you can
install rrd and grab the debian specific changes that enable the rrd graph
here:

Maybe this could be included in a future release of BackupPC, since it
only triggers if rrdtool is found in /usr/bin? A lot of people find it
useful.
