"Read EOF: Connection reset by peer" indicates that your client interrupt
the connection.
Do you have a log from client side?

What happens if you remove the exclude of "/Program Files/Symantec/Symantec
Endpoint Protection Manager/Inetpub/ClientPackages"
The backup work (with long filename error)?
