In my case it is definitely quicker... 550MB approx uncompressed and
130MB compressed, transferring the compressed version transferred the
full 130MB, bu transferring the raw version only transferred under
20MB... I'll have another one to do shortly where the compressed
version is around 8G and uncompressed around 45G, so that will be
interesting to sse.
