I have not found a solution to this problem, and I have
found other people that have the same issue. This problem started in
January when I moved from Fedora 8 to Fedora 9.
The issue is that smbclient gets and incorrect path from
backuppc when trying to backup windows clients in the Documents and Settings directory
(and maybe others). My config file has this in it: (*note that I changed
the profile names when posting this message for security.)
$Conf{BackupFilesOnly} = {
'e$' => [
'/pictures'
],
'c$' => [
'/Documents and Settings/username/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles',
'/Documents and Settings/username/My Documents',
'/Documents and Settings/username/Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook',
'/Documents and Settings/username/Desktop',
'/Documents and Settings/username2/My Documents'
]
};
The errors I get when trying to backup are:
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
listing \Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Firefox\*
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
listing \Documents and Settings\username\username\*
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
listing \Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Microsoft\*
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
listing \Documents and Settings\username\username\*
NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
listing \Documents and Settings\username2\username2\*
As you can see, backuppc is passing in incorrect path to
smbclient, as the 2nd to last directory is being repeated twice.
How can I fix this? There are other people on this
mailing list with the same problem. See the following for similar
