If you are statically linking libraries that do not use a GPL compatible 
license, you may not be able to legally distribute your code.  The GPL 
says is that if you make a derived work from a project that is GPL 
licensed which incorporates components that are not GPL'd, you can't 
distribute the derived work. It doesn't (and legally can't) force the 
GPL onto someone else's code.
