gtar errors

Hi,
on an Ubuntu 7.10 box running amanda 2.5.1p3, I see the following
messages in the report:
? gtar: .: Warning: Cannot stat: Cannot allocate memory
? gtar: .: Warning: Cannot stat: Cannot allocate memory
Does this mean that the backup failed? Any idea where they come from,
and how to fix them?
