As a side note, Amanda uses UDP instead of TCP during the estimate
phase just to overcome the limit of concurrent TCP connections.
Current OSes can handle many TCP connections but in the early
days of Amanda, that was really a limiting factor if you got many
clients (a limit, which Amanda did *not* bump into!).
