Very strange. Are you sure the amindexd ad finishedwhen you looked
at the debugfile?
What happens when you do:
telnet localhost 10082
You see should a prompt like:
220 kirk AMANDA index server (2.4.4p2) ready.
Is there anything more in the logfile?
What happens if you start amindexd by hand as user amanda?
It should exit immediatly, but also generate a logfile with:
