So you better check before buying.

We ran into the problem when testing the 3ware daemon which should 
notify the admin of any problems or messages. So we pulled one disk 
out, got an email (hooray), put the disk in again - and got no response 
any more at all from the machine (which was a pity as it was our 
production web server...)

The server didn't even want to boot with both disks in.

We had to take the disk out again, reboot, clean the disk and put it in 
again.
