Hi,

I have a machine that does a DMZ backup with a DDS4 autoloader on it. I now
also need to use this machine to backup a single machine onto a AIT2 single
drive.

I have installed the drive and it is recognised.

dmesg says..

Vendor: SONY Model: SDX-500C Rev: 010c
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
(scsi1:A:0): 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 15, 16bit)
Vendor: HP Model: C5713A Rev: H107
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
(scsi2:A:4): 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 32, 16bit)
Vendor: HP Model: C5713A Rev: H107
Type: Medium Changer ANSI SCSI revision: 02
st: Version 20020205, bufsize 32768, wrt 30720, max init. bufs 4, s/g segs
16
Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
Attached scsi tape st1 at scsi2, channel 0, id 4, lun 0
Attached scsi generic sg2 at scsi2, channel 0, id 4, lun 1, type 8

so i can see the changer, and both tape drives.

I had my amanda.conf set to use /dev/nst0 for the tape drive in the
changer - I presume i would also now need to use /dev/nst1.

How can i tell which one to use for which? My changer does now not work and
and changing it to user nst1 does not also work?

thanks

Tom
