I had the same problem so I added the following line to the amanda.conf
columnspec "HostName=0:13,Disk=1:8,Level=1:1,
OrigKB=1:10,OutKB=1:8,Compress=1:6,
DumpTime=1:8,DumpRate=1:8,TapeTime=1:8,TapeRate=1:8"
Note that it should all be in one line. I have split it in three to avoid
that the mail program breaks it.
