I'm sorry that I can't point you to the correct archive with
pre-build Solaris 8 binaries, the site is not named in the
amanda.org web site ?

I have build amanda, I don't know which version you are interested
in building, on Solaris 8 and habitually make install the whole
package on both clients and servers (the additional few binaries
are not large). I suppose you could always install the software
you wanted by cd'ing into the required sub-directories and doing
the individual make commands. I tend to build once for my site
and then untar the kit I want and run make - not entirely unlike
downloading binaries from the internet.
