Hi
Next issue is the drive slot...
My tape device is /dev/rmt/1n, so I've set driveslot=0 in changer.conf
(I also tried it set to 1, same result, except it said drive slot 1 in the
error message)
Here's the log
bash-2.03# cat /tmp/amanda/chg-zd-mtx.20030513183630.debug

I had the same problem with mtx recently. It's first a mtx-related issue!
After trying to get the problem solved with the mtx developers (without
sucess...nobody was interested I had the feeling) I slightly changed
chg-zd-mtx for my changer. The idea is to grep the mtx output not as
intended originelly within chg-zd-mtx. I have now my amanda config up and
running since several weeks without any mtx/chg-zd-mtx related problems.
Since my modified chg-zd-mtx is programmed q&d and I had only the chance to
test it with my config (Sony TSL-9000 DDS-3 changer, Solaris 9 Sparc) I
don't want to post it here :-( but you can mail me if you want to get the
idea ;-)
Hope it helps, Uwe.
