My problem is that Amanda deletes previous index of previous full dump
and I would like to keep index during one week because I have 5 tapes.
Looking into the source the tapecycle does not matter, ignore my
previous question.
In server-src/amtrmidx.c amanda looks through all indexfiles from
non-existing
or overwritten tapes. (Lines 222 etc.)
She keeps index-files for all tapes in existance. Perfect!
It works for me here.
Are you sure the files are removed by Amanda and not by some other program?
Have a look in /tmp/amanda/amtrmindex.DATETIMESTAMP.debug to
find out which index files were removed.
