You can glean a lot of info from the amreport mailed to you.
Like how much time spent in taping, how much in estimating, ...
It may give a pointer to the culprit.
Post a copy of the report from that run.

One thing, you are using a holding disk, yes?
What is the reserve value set to?
Hopefully not the 100% default.
