gtar core.dump !! why ?
2002-11-01 06:29:40
Hello,
i try to backup some win nt4 servers. the filesystems are mounted via
mount_smbfs on a freebsd 4.7-STABLE server.
gtar version = tar (GNU tar) 1.13.25
amanda version = 2.4.3b2
if i try to backup the mounted fs, gtar quits with a core.dump und no
files will be backed-up if gtar finds directorys that are empty or the
backupuser has no rights to read the directory.
runtar debugfile:
--
runtar: debug 1 pid 67191 ruid 1005 euid 0 start time Fri Nov 1
07:41:00 2002
gtar: version 2.4.3b2
running: /usr/local/bin/gtar: gtar --create --file - --directory
mnt/thron/accessDB --one-file-system --listed-incremental
/usr/local/var/amanda/gnutar-lists/dylan_mnt_thron_accessDB_1.new
--sparse --ignore-failed-read --totals --exclude-from etc/amanda/exclude .
-- end --
are there any known bugs with this version's? i think gtar has a problem
with the --ignore-failed-read. but, who cares?
regards
