Readline 4.3 library

Hi,
Tried using newest readline library (version 4.3) -- seems that amanda
2.4.2p2 would not compile with it well. (Actually, building readline gives a
suspicious message "you may need to run ldconfig" after running make
install).
So, latest & greatest is not necessarily the best.. readline 4.2 worked ok.
Anyone having same experience yet?..
