I think in this case, its highly unlikely that you would be able to do this 
with a single autoloader.  besides, you'd have to move tapes around too much, 
that it would increase the time necessary to run the backup.  On the 
otherhand, if you have two different autoloaders, (or two different tape 
drives), you could set each one with a different configuration and a separate 
cron process. This would allow you to run taper twice, you would have to tune 
the configurations really good and probably run them at separate times to 
have a really reliable and efficient setup.
