mmbackup is part of GPFS, not TSM. There's some docs here:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/clresctr/vxrx/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.cluster.gpfs.v3r5.0.7.gpfs100.doc%2Fbl1adm_mmbackup.htm

We experimented using mmbackup, but found it didn't scale well and had
some reliability issues. We ended up partitioning our data up into
separate directories, and backing those up as separate filespaces using
the standard dsmc. That worked much better.

In reading over the manual I find no mention of it, but searching IBM support
there are plenty of docs which I just started reading.
My question is what is the preferred way to do this amongst those who have
dealt with it?
Win 2008 with TSM Server 6.3
AIX 7.1 with BA client 6.3

All comments welcome....
Thanks !
