>From looking at the "Tivoli conference" agendas in the past, TSM plays a
fractional part in the sessions provided. USERBlue (sometimes in conjunction
with SHARE) seems to provide more for TSMers. I went to the one in NYC a
couple years back, and it was great. Also, look for nearby Tivoli User Group
Meetings and check their agenda. Just went to the one in Atlanta last week,
and it was very informative. My rule of thumb is to keep current on events,
and scour the sessions/agendas to see if it's worth the drive/plane ticket. A
"Tivoli conference" not special to TSM is saturated with everything Tivoli,
including pumping up the recently acquired products that are now under the
Tivoli umbrella (i.e. NetCool, etc.)

45-55, in the order you listed it. 45, useful...55, PR. It's worth it to
attend these events. Hey if nothing else, get out of the office for a moment.

Hello Everyone,

I got email to attend the IBM Tivoli Technical User Conference.

Is this a really beneficial event for a busy Tivoli Admin who is
interested in learning more about the Tivoli environment?

Or is it more of a PR thing for Tivoli and IBM? I confess, from the
website it appears more the latter...

What do you guys think?

Thank You,
