Another way is...
if you use the reusedelay parameter in yr pools... then you can decrease
the reusedelay value (temp) and the tapes will free up right away and
available in yr scratch pool.

Way not run a reclamation and set the value to 1%.
Then you realy delete all expired files.
And then you maybe got some extra tapes to play with.
