Hi ADSMers,
another question from Austria :-)
After taking our Windows NT Fileserver on ADSM (with more than 600.000
active
files, 25000 changing each day) a user wanted to restore a file but
couldn't
exactly tell me what version.
So I started the GUI, selected the "display both active/inactive files"
button,
klicked on Edit/Find and entered the WHOLE startpath, set name to *.*
and
started the search.
This was more than half an hour ago. Our IBM 2003 is over 60% busy doing
80 I/O's per second. I'm running VM/ESA 2.1.0 with ADSM 2.1.0.17.
I know searching for inactive files takes a lot of time. Bu I think
there has to be
a faster way to get what I want.
What's the recommendet way to list/select/restore inactive files either
using
GUI or command line?
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards
