I am running AIX 4.2/ADSM 2.1 on a RS6000/R40 using a 3570 Mag tape lib.

I had a tape go bad and had to remove it. SO far so good. I run dsmlabel on
a new
tape. It grabs the tape from the input slot labels it an shoots it back
out. Great.
Now I want to check in the tape to the library. Nothing I do makes this
happen. I
can stick it in the input slot, doesn't do anything. I can manually put it
in the open
slot and run checkin search, checklabel or anything else and it doesn't do
it.
What's up?
