For the PTF U449655 there is a README file available, which is now
following. In this file the installation procedure is described. The
AIX-command "inutoc" creats a table of contetn file, which is necessary for
installing the PTF´s:

ADSM for AIX service level 2.1.5.13 is available.


ATTENTION: This service update is for ADSM Version 2.1.5.

           You must have installed either base level 2.1.5.6 or

           base level 2.1.5.12 (available only via AIX 4.2.1 bonus pack)

1. FTP (type = binary) the update images to your server. The "standard"

directory

   is /usr/sys/inst.images.



   U449654.bff - fix level 13 for adsm.server.dev

   U449655.bff - fix level 13 for adsm.server.com

   U449656.bff - fic level 13 for adsm.server.util



   NOTE: In RETAIN land, order PTF U449657 to obtain this update level !!



   NOTE: Service has been applied to the ADSM Utilities.

         get the file  v2r1m5f13.U449656.bff)



2. Run the following command (as root)



   inutoc /usr/sys/inst.images



3. To install using SMIT select the following sequence of screens



   Software Installation and Maintenance

    Install and Update Software

     Install/Update Selectable Software (Custom Install)

      Install Fileset Updates by Fix

       - Select /usr/sys/inst.images as INPUT device/directory

       - List FIXES to install

         - select the fixes you wish to apply



    Instead of "Install Fileset Updates by Fix" you can

      Install/Update From All Available Software

       - Select /usr/sys/inst.images as INPUT device/directory

       - List SOFTWARE to install

         - select the filesets you wish to update

           - adsm.server.com  - the server

           - adsm.server.dev  - device support

           - adsm.server.util - the utilities



The file v2r1m_f13.README describes the changes and improvements delivered

with

this update. You can FTP (ascii) it to your server.



If you do not wish to FTP v2r1m_f13.READM, the same information is

contained in the

install images.



 - To extract the README from the update image prior to applying the

update, use the command



   installp -id /usr/sys/inst.images all >

/usr/sys/inst.images/README.21513



 - If you only wish to browse, use the command



   installp -id /usr/sys/inst.images all | more
