Hi everybody, but especially IBM'ers on this list!
I want to get the prices for upgrading my ADSM v2.1 installation to
version 3, but our IBM rep cannot find the right order numbers.
Everytime I check the order numbers IBM tells me, I can see that they
talk about the full product, but not the special Upgrade Packages, as
mentioned in the version 3 announcement letters. Maybe somebody on
this list can help. Here it is my configuration:
ADSM server version 2.1 for AIX (program number 5765-564), including
the UNIX and the Desktop feature, plus 10 additional clients (mostly
OS/2, Win95, AIX).
Q LIC output:

Judging from the Announcement Letter (AL), I thought I should have the
following upgrade packages:
4073893 V2.1 to V3.1 Program Package Upgrade CD-ROM
4073895 V2.1 to V3.1 Upgrade Server Install
4073904 V2.1 to V3.1 Upgrade 10 User Registrations
However, my IBM rep came with the following list today:
Single server 4073692
Network Enabler 4301709
10user registration 4073696
But these are complete products, according to the AL, and the list
doesn't even contain the installation media (CD-ROM). BTW, what is
Network Enabler? It is mentioned in the AL, but it is not really
explained what the product contains. Has this to do with a
multi-server environment? I am really confsed now.
Maybe somebody of you can help me (and my IBM rep) to find a way
out of this jungle of program numbers and feature codes.
TIA,
Bernd Dammann
