Mark,

We have just built a new ADSM server and we are running quite happily with
storage pools volumes > 2gb; in fact we are using 8gb files. There are two
main differences between your configuration and ours. First, we are running
AIX 4.2.1 which lifts the AIX 2gb file limit, and we are using files rather
than raw devices.

We were unable to DSMFMT files > 2gb with ADSM 2.1.5.12; it was only with
ptf 13, which provided a new version of DSMFMT, that we were able to do
this.
