How long does the backup take? If the backup fails at any time during the
window (Actual start + duration), it will attempt to restart until the
duration has expired. So, if your duration is less time than the backups
normally take, then you will likely simply fail, rather than restart.
I have all of my nightly backups set with a duration of AT LEAST 12 hours, so
that they will retry at least as long as it takes for me to arrive back at
work the next morning...
