In ADSM you never actually perform a full backup, only incrementals.
Of course, the first time you back up a node, the incremental
backup results in a full backup.  You don't say which version
of the ADSM server you are using.  Version 2 has a facility for
backing up storage pools.  You can do a full or incremental
backup of storage pools and then mark the tapes to be moved
offsite.
