Hi,
In order to copy the database and recovery log you have to:
 - Allocate the datasets and "DEFine DBVOLume name","def logvolume ..."
 - Delete the old DB and LOG files. (DEL DBVOL nnn)
   When you  delete volumes(datasets)  from the database or recovery log,
   the server moves existing data to available space on other volumes.
